Derelict Hospital Glasgow

Originally constructed and opened as a general dispensary in 1788, this abandoned infirmary wasn't developed into a functioning hospital until 1850 after it serving as a House of Recovery for 45 years. Since its closure in the 1980s, some of the infirmary buildings have been developed into private-owned flats whilst the rest of the hospital sits still vacant. Of what remains, there are four floors accessible within the building via three main staircases and one smaller set of stairs towards the edge of the property. Despite their being unusable, elevators intended for patient-use remain alongside service lifts. Entire wings of the hospital are accessible, however, their condition has severely deteriorated since the infirmary was in operation with wallpaper tearing away from the walls and entire roofs giving way.
